Hearing a weird noise when driving is something many of us have probably experienced. Sometimes those noises don’t mean anything serious is wrong but should be checked out eventually. Other times the noise may be an indication of a more serious problem that should be looked at right away.
If you hear a rattling noise or a squeaking sound coming from your wheels when you hit a bump or pothole this could mean that there’s a problem with your suspension system. You shouldn’t wait to get this checked out.
Hearing a loud squealing when you start your car could be a sign that the serpentine belt is failing or is about to break. If you hear this noise you should inspect the belt for signs of wear and tear and replace it if necessary.
Ticking coming from your engine is a sign that there’s a problem with the oil. Either it’s too low or the oil pressure is incorrect. When you hear this noise you should quickly turn your car off and check the oil. If it’s too low add some oil, if it’s not low but still ticking you should bring it to our service center here at Bill Alexander Ford Lincoln in Yuma, AZ.
